Days 15 & 16: Yesterday we travelled through New Mexico, across parts of Arizona and into Utah. Stunning views for the entire 580 miles! The constantly changing landscape from desert to clay, canyons and mountains. The usual cows near the road changed to horses for this trip.
We found a nice campground up in the mountains near Bryce Canyon National Park - the nearby towns are tiny, there is hardly anyone here, no internet, no cell service, we can't even get the radio. The peacefulness has been magical, but we may be difficult to reach for the next few days. It looks like portions of the Canyon are open, but today is only 30 degrees f and there's been some snow so we plan to wait for the sun tomorrow to venture out. If the National Parks don't work out, we've seen plenty of smaller trails and parks that are accessible that we'd like to explore.
