Day 14: Today was a much more relaxed and optimistic day for us. Our car is fixed and everything is good. We took some pictures of our cool retro campground, once a trading post on Route 66. We're surprised and comforted by how many other campers there are out: the campgrounds are no where near full, but we're not alone in trying to navigate life on the road during this strange time.
We cautiously ventured out to an old volcanic area a couple of miles down from our campsite and hiked the trails. My dad has always wanted to see New Mexico and I thought about him as we explored the terrain :)
We plan for this to be our last night here before venturing a little closer to the Grand Canyon area.
